Dr. Amy Bossung was born and raised on a farm in rural Nebraska. Being the daughter of a farmer her passion for helping animals developed very early and it was then she decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Horseback riding, dogs, cats and 4-H, volleyball and basketball were among her passions growing up. She graduated Elwood Public High School in Nebraska and attended Sterling College in Kansas, Mid Plains community college, Kearny State College in Nebraska and finished her undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was honored and blessed to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in May of 1991.
Dr Bossung’s family currently consists of her talented graphic design husband Geoff Jenkins and two rescue poodles Olive and Haley, along with their cat, Bo Pelini. When not working or scanning she enjoys spending her time reading, studying the Bible, playing volleyball and watching movies and traveling. She is an avid sports fan and though she no longer lives in Nebraska she still follows her Husker football team obsessively. Her faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of her life and she and her husband are active members of Hope Baptist Church in Las Vegas. |
